- edited November 2012I did love Life Stories Castaway on the PC, I would only want it as part of an expansion (maybe Island time that has been rumoured) , I really wouldn't want it as a stand alone

If they would like to add it to game, only as Vacation, and it's already Egypt in WA. But pack of stuff would be great. We can count as Island Stuff Pack world Sunlit Tides, because there are Rabbitholes and flora and environment and Stuff (for example Postbox) themed for Island. Also, there was LEAK of Beach Stuff themed stuff pack upcoming after Seasons (not official, off course, it's only one of many points). And it's the reasons I'd not like Island life as EP or SP for TS3. Better would be new base game The Sims 3 Castaway. It's the same reason I'd not like Medieval EP or SP in TS3 and so I'm glad that EA made another base game The Sims 3 Medieval (my computer is too slow and weak to run it, but I apperentice their work ).
Also, I didn't like that all I can do in TS2 Castaways (I played it on my cousin's computer many years ago so it was just 'flashgame') Story mode is to do what I have to do from tasks. I don't know why but I was feeling prisoned. But options to enyoj SIMULATION life on Island would be great.

That's not what they have done with Medevil which kind of limits you to a set story and you don't have open end gameplay or building etc. Shame that!
Castaway is a great game though and you can use sims 2 cc in it as well x - edited November 2012

I'm catious about linking to some of the sites because you can't post a link to a site with adult content and they sell all sorts of DVD's and things, not dodgy or anything but grown up movies like horror and stuff.
But if you just do a google shopping search they should show up. There was definitely some on ebay. Hope you find it!

I know what you mean about medieval being limited... I would have loved it as an e.p instead!
The good thing about castaway that we couldn't do with medieval was transfer clothes from the sims. I added a load of swimwear and stuff. I wish we could have the medieval clothes in sims 3 but I read it's a different programme or mesh or something (the sims are different). - edited November 2012

The Sims: Castaway Stories download is the third game of a new Electronic Arts product line called The Sims Stories. It is easy to use version for notebook of the popular games series for the PC’s users where the players control the lives of virtual people.
In the described game, as the title suggests, the character is a survivor who is on a desert island. The key point of the game is the adventure mode, where the player has to complete some tasks.
At first, there are simple tasks to do like putting up a tent or collect the right amount of food. However, in next stage of the game start more complex tasks which helps our character to return to civilization. In the same time, the character explores the tropical island, interacts with other survivors and the natives who live in the surrounding areas. After finishing some levels, there are unlocked new awards, which can be stored in the cabin. In total, there are 23 chapters of the story, which gives the players about 6-8 hours of fun.
The classic mode is very similar to the traditional version of the Sims – an open game without any story frames. There can be created Sims and their homes and then the players decide how to cope with unfamiliar situations and unknown place. The only significant difference is that all houses are located on the same tropical island, which the players knew during the adventure mode.
The Castaway Stories introduces some significant changes to the gameplay mechanics. The Sims do not have to get Simoleons or money. Instead, they have to gain food and resources points. The resources are used to create new items. The new functions are using maps of the area and looking through a diary of events.
